This simple and straightforward easy fudge recipe requires just four ingredients to create a delicious, melt-in-your-mouth treat.

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 can Sweetened condensed milk Do not substitute with evaporated milk.
  • 2 cups Chocolate chips (semi-sweet, dark, or milk) You can use white chocolate chips as an alternative.
  • 1 stick Butter Salted or unsalted.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract Optional, but enhances flavor.
Optional Add-ins
  • 1/2 cup Chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts) Optional.
  • 1 tablespoon Peanut butter For swirling.
  • 1/2 cup Mini marshmallows For topping.
  • 1/2 cup Crushed pretzels For adding on top.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small saucepan, combine chocolate chips and butter.
  2. Pour in the sweetened condensed milk and place over low heat.
  3. Stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and melted.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Chilling
  1. Scrape the fudge mixture into a lined 8x8-inch pan.
  2. Using a spatula, spread the mixture evenly in the pan.
  3. Chill in the refrigerator for at least three hours until set.
Serving
  1. Cut the fudge into small squares and serve.

Notes

Store fudge in an airtight container in the fridge. It stays good for up to two weeks. Fudge can also be frozen for a couple of months.
