  • 1 pound ground beef (or turkey, chicken, or black bean) Seasoned with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Toppings
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce Can be swapped with arugula or shredded cabbage.
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes Fresh ripe tomatoes preferred.
  • 1/2 cup diced pickles Little zesty pickles recommended.
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese Use cheddar, pepper jack, or vegan cheese.
  • 1-2 slices crispy bacon Optional, for added flavor.
  • 1 each fried egg Optional, for a gourmet touch.
Sauces
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha mayo Or any preferred sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon mustard Can use classic yellow or gourmet types.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground beef (or meat of choice), seasoning with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Cook until browned and crispy.
Assembly
  1. While the meat is cooking, chop vegetables and prepare toppings.
  2. Layer lettuce or greens at the bottom of serving bowls.
  3. Spoon the hot cooked meat over the greens.
  4. Top with cheese and other desired toppings.
  5. Drizzle with your favorite sauces and enjoy immediately.

Notes

Make sure to adjust for dietary preferences. You can make these bowls ahead of time and store separately to reheat.
